Best and Worst Hair Masks

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
Its absolutely beautiful outside!

Today, I'm going to do something a little different! A quick post about my favourite and least favourite hair treatments!

Hair masks can be a life saver.
I went through a phase almost 3 years ago where I decided I wanted to be Gwen Stefani platinum blonde.

I have naturally dark and very fine brown hair so the bleaching process was very long and very harsh for me.

The blonde thing lasted about 8 months before I decided to call it quits as the up-keep was getting too time-consuming and expensive!

After going back to being my brunette self I was left with the most dry and brittle hair in the world. Seriously, FRIED STRAW was softer than my hair.

I needed something and I needed it fast.

Left: after the damage had been done                    Right: All better

I have tried so many hair masks its crazy and after plenty of trial and error my hair is back to its soft self.
During that trial process I have discovered my favourite and my absolute least favourite masks -
so Lets get started!

My all time favourite hair mask is ......

It's a 10 Miracle Hair Treatment

This shit is off the chain (WOW the 90's called and wants their expression back), but really it's amazing. You can find this at select hair salons and Target Canada sells it now too. It usually lasts me about 4 months when I use it once a week, which, is what I am currently doing now. If your hair is as damaged as mine was previously, I suggest leaving it in over night at least once a month.
I'm convinced that did the trick.
Now that my hair is better, I leave it on for about 10 minutes once a week and I'm good to go. I have found this product for as low as $20 and as high as around $34 depending on the store.

My least favourite is...

GOSH Treat Me! Deep Repair.

Oh my "Gosh" this stuff did absolutely nothing for me.
Even when used just as a conditioner I couldn't get my brush through my hair. The package suggests 10 minutes. I've tried leaving it on anywhere from 10 minutes to 1 hour and still no good. You're better off just grabbing any cheap bottle of conditioner and leaving that in for 10 minutes. I think what made me most disappointed about this is that GOSH is usually a half decent brand and I had my hopes up. I did use the whole bottle but will probably never repurchase. I believe I paid somewhere around $15
