Korean Skincare - Laneige Sleeping Mask

Korean beauty has been blowing up all over the beauty world lately and for good reason! Their amazing skincare!

Korean beauty skincare has between 7-12 steps in comparison to our typical 3 step cleanse, treat, moisturize.

I personally don't yet have the time or patience for 12 steps but I have found a few little gems that I have been able to easily add to my skincare routine that have been showing the amazing skin benefits of K-beauty.

I recently received the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask from a company called influenster to try out and review and was very interested to see what all of this K beauty hype was about.

The mask promises to recharge dehydrated skin overnight with ionized mineral water and ceramics. I am constantly dry so this sounded pretty good to me!  The first night I decided to try the mask on its own immediately after cleansing. It's formulated with a "Sleepscent" consisting of rose, sandalwood and a few other scents which I quite enjoyed as it wasn't too strong. My skin felt moderately hydrated the next day but no more than my usual night cream.

A few days later, I decided to try again but this time following the instructions and adding it on top of my nightly moisturizer. Magic. The gel locked in my night moisturizer and left my skin feeling amazing. My skin appeared plump and it didn't break me out which, is another massive plus.

I was so intrigued by this stuff I decided to purchase the Laneige Water Bank eye cream myself and give that a whirl with fantastic results. For the first time ever, I was able to wear concealer under my eyes without it looking dry and creasy! I now use the eye cream before bed as well as in the morning religiously.

The price point for Laneige is also fantastic. The sleeping mask retails in Canada for $30 and the eye cream is $46 both extremely worth it.

So far, I'm loving the K beauty trend and can't wait to try more products from other Korean brands! Although I may never have a 12 step skin care regimen, adding these two steps has done wonders for my skin.

Both of these products are available at Sephora online and store!

Thanks for reading!
